As an independent non-governmental organisation concerned with Baukultur, the Swiss Heritage Society plays a leading role. We are an association with 27,000 members and sponsors and have existed since 1905 as an umbrella organisation of 25 cantonal sections. We work to ensure that architectural monuments from various eras are saved from demolition and continue to live on. We also promote good contemporary architecture for new buildings.
