Bauenschweiz is the umbrella organisation of the Swiss construction industry, with some 76 member associations from the fields of design and planning, the construction trades, interior fit-out and building envelope as well as manufacturing and commerce. The building sector accounts for twelve percent of Switzerland’s total economic output and employs around 465’000 skilled workers. It is among the five largest employers and trains ten percent of all apprentices in Switzerland.
